Beginning Quilting (4 sessions)

Anyone can learn to quilt! The secret is knowing where to start.

Here's the perfect class that covers a simple set of basics to help you prepare and learn the fundamentals of quilting. This is a great class to learn proper quilting techniques while you make a 9-Block 9-patch table runner in whatever colors you like.

In this 4-week class you will learn everything from the tools you need, cutting to quilting, including color selection and why the 1/4" seams are so important.

You can pay for the classes individually, or upfront for a discounted price.

Skill Details:
Requirements: You'll need the following amounts of fabric: -Pieced Blocks: 3/8 yard of two coordinated fabrics. It's best if one is light and one is dark. -Sashing: 1/8 yd (4.5") coordinated fabric -Border: 1/3 yard -Backing: 7/8 yard -Binding: 10" -The Sashing, Border, Backing and Binding can all be the same fabric if you want. Bring a sewing machine, basic sewing kit, rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler.
