There will be gift baskets for:
- Grand Prize drawing - everyone gets an entry for each project they enter

- Peoples Choice - Youth (under 14 yrs)
- Employees Choice - Adult
- Employees Choice - Youth
To submit quilts and projects for the quilt show please bring them to the shop by Tuesday March 14, 7 pm. The only qualification is the project used fabric and required some sewing (hand or machine).
You can pick up your projects starting March 21 during normal store hours.

WHAT? (That's a pretty normal reaction by the way. :))
Jewel's hit a pretty tough rough patch last year when our long-arm quilting machine was down for almost 6 months. During that time we got behind on our lease. Our landlord has been patient, but he is a businessman so the late fees and interest charges are piling up. We're trying several approaches to get on top of this including grants, SBA loans, sales and special events like the trunk show.
Everything is helping, but we've still got a ways to go. Hence, the GoFundMe account.
We would love and appreciate your help. "What can you do?" Thanks for asking!
- Bring a project or two for the trunk show. We want this to be an amazing exhibit of the wonderful things you have accomplished.
- Come to the trunk show! This year we're using it as a fundraiser. It's not an entrance fee, but if you can donate $1 or $2 it all helps; if you can't we understand and you're still welcome.
- Shop! Come get fabric for that new project.
- Donate through GoFundMe. These donations are considered a cash gift so they are not taxed. If you want to donate, but not through GoFundMe, you can also Venmo money to @JewelsFabricStash
- Share our story with a few friends! The math of word-of-mouth is pretty amazing. If you donate $5 and share with two friends who also donate $5 and share with two friends amazing things can happen. This e-mail is going out to about 2500 people. If you each share this e-mail with 2 friends it will reach 7500 people. If they share one more time that number will go to 17,500 people.
How is this money going to be used? After all, you have worked hard for your income. This money is all going to our landlord. Jewel's owes him about $45,000, plus current and one month future rent. Any money raised above that needed to pay him will be invested in the shop for inventory and wages. None of it will be used for personal purposes.
Jewel's is looking to be caught up by early May 2023. If you receive this e-mail after that and are interested in helping, please call the shop to see if we are still working on the fundraiser; 385-777-2957.
Many people have donated already. Thank you! When I decided to try asking for help I really wondered if anything would come of it. The response has been kind and generous. When I opened the shop I knew there would be challenges, but I never realized how many wonderful people would help me succeed. And we will succeed!
