Hand Sewn Embroidery

Hand embroidery, a simple art form using a needle and thread. Are you interested in learning the basics? We have a class and patterns to meet your needs.

You will learn different stitch types, when to hoop your work and when not to hoop.  We will also cover different thread types, counts and tension.

We will be using the simple, straight line stitching patterns found in the store.  They are a great way to introduce new needle artists to the art of hand embroidery! They stitch up quickly so you turn them into a small couch pillow, make several and put them into a quilt, frame it, stitch the design on the bottom of a tea towel, add it to the back of a jacket or above the pocket of a shirt, add embellishments.
